Over the years, Astro Manufacturing & Design has completed a multitude of projects for customers in a wide variety of market segments. Below are just a few of the industries and projects we have worked on:

Astro is heavily involved with the production of components and assemblies for the medical and bio-medical equipment industries as well as medical sterilization systems. In addition to having a complete division of our company dedicated to the manufacturing of implantable medical devices, in our main plant we also produce components and assemblies for diagnostic imaging systems such as Computed Tomography (CT) systems, PET scanners, MRI systems, Nuclear Medicine systems and Surgical Simulation systems. Our production ranges from custom designed and built health monitoring systems to completed collimator assemblies, complete patient support couches and completely manufactured turnkey simulator systems for angioplasty and laparoscopic surgery. Our medical customer list includes a host of internationally known medical device manufacturers.
Implantable Medical Devices
Astro has a completely dedicated manufacturing facility for the production of orthopedic implantable devices used in neck and spine surgery, as well as heart surgery. This FDA audited facility contains dedicated Swiss-style machining centers, 5-axis milling capability, EDM, passivation and laser engraving equipment, as well as a fully equipped quality assurance lab. Astro produces numerous aerospace and military components for some of the larger companies in the United States, including NASA. Production includes, military and commercial aircraft components, helicopter components, aircraft wheel and brake components, missile components, torpedo components and sub-systems, flight simulator enclosures and even parts destined for International Space Station (ISS) applications.

Although Astro does not produce parts used in automobiles, a significant portion of our business is dedicated to the production of specialized tooling and equipment used in the automobile manufacturing processes. This includes the production of specialized automation and test systems either designed by Astro or built to customer drawings and specifications. Our Warren, Ohio facility is dedicated to much of this work.
Consumer Products
Astro produces a variety of parts used by customers in the consumer product markets. Whether components or complete systems for material handling, packaging, transporting or final product, Astro can meet the needs of these customers.
General Industrial Applications
Many of our customers fall into the category of general industrial companies for which we produce parts, sub-assemblies or automation systems. These systems may be in the cosmetics or food processing industries, printing industries or a wide variety of other applications. We have few limitations in this category.
